How To Close A Roll Top Waterproof Dry Bag


How do you close these bags without a zipper? When first encountering a camping dry bag or dry sack as they are sometimes called, they seem kind of strange. How am I suppose to use this, and why is it is essential for outdoor enthusiasts.

Keep Camping Gear Clean and Dry

The primary job of a dry bag is keeping your stuff dry and clean, although there are a few other uses. Valuable items such as your phone, camera, clothes, medicine, or whatever items you want to keep water and dirt out of. This is why we must know the proper way of closing our dry bags.

Stuff it 3/4 full with your items, but remember you’ll still need to be able to roll the top down a least three times for a watertight seal.

How to Close A Dry Bag

The most important thing is to remember that you need to fold at least three times.

  1. Fill your dry bag up to 3/4 full.
  2. Remove the excess air and pinch the top blades together.
  3. Dog ear and fold at least three times down for a watertight seal.
    The last thing to do is clip the buckles together, and you’re good to go!
